Star Wars The Force Awakens is a highly anticipated sequel to the famous Star Wars franchise, and it is not surprising the film has already inspired fans to create dozens of theories and invent innumerable rumors about possible connections between the main story characters, their places in the sequel and so on. We have collected the most interesting and crazy rumors to heat up the interest even more.
The first widespread theory is that Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker, who turned to the Dark Side. Of course, there is a non-zero possibility of J.J. Abrams deciding to make a dramatic plot switch or show that Luke followed his father’s footsteps (like father, like son, you know). Also, we have already seen Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver), and he obviously does not look even the least bit similar to 64-year-old Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
The second popular speculation states that Han Solo and Chewbacca traded their Millennium Falcon for a Star Destroyer. No doubt, a Star Destroyer would make the space pirates look posh and horrifying at the same time, but how could two pilots possibly operate a ship that needs a crew of 300,000 at the minimum? And what would they do with all that enormous power and size? So, do not worry, this is very unlikely to happen. Solo and Chewbacca are strongly devoted to their Millennium Falcon.
The third rumor tells us that Luke’s lost lightsaber is an important plot detail, and it might be a key to some secret shelter or a Jedi tomb. This is partly true. We know for certain that Luke’s blue lightsaber is to be found in Star Wars The Force Awakens, and it plays quite an important role in the plot. But creating a door that needs a lightsaber to open it (by using it as a key, not as a weapon) would be at least very impractical. It is like creating a gun-shaped hole in the secret door for James Bond to open it.
It is a delight that we will be able to check whether these theories are true or false because waiting makes fans come up with ever more crazy theories every day.
